Grasshopper On the Road is a charming theatrical event. Part performance, part acting lesson, the show is based on Arthur Lobel’s Learn To Read tale. It’s theater with sprinkles of dance, music, and improvisation. A highly interactive, 60-minute, “one-insect” event, it makes children giggle while they learn to pay attention, take direction, and spark ideas. All ages welcome, but ideal for children ages 5-11. RAWSON with The Rick Short Band

We are proud to announce powerhouse band Rawson to the KAC ROADHOUSE on Saturday, November, 3rd. Rawson will be bringing their highly energetic live set all the way from NYC to rock our little town. The natural stage prescence and electrifying passion of front man, Sean Haythe, is something to witness. Not to mention flamboyant lead guitar player Jimi Sharp who is one of the hottest ax men on the planet. “Mr. Fabulous” Edwin Alvarado holds down the groove on bass and “G” Greg Norwood putting down the G-Smack on drums. If you love Lenny Kravitz, Prince, The Rolling Stones, The Red Hot Chili Peppers or Jimi Hendrix, we promise you will love Rawson.

Opening the show will be local favorite, The Rick Short Band. Described as: “raw”, “organic”, “”muscular”, “emotional”. “a full performance experience”. “Without a doubt, one of the most refreshing and talented groups to come out of CNY in years.”

Doors will open at 7:30pm and the show will start at 8pm. Tickets are available online below or by calling 853-8871. Space is truly limited so get tickets now. Remember, the Roadhouse format is open with limited seating to encourages dancing. You won’t want to sit for this one. Beer and Wine provided through a cash bar by Nola’s Restaurant. We are nearly buried in books and need your help with our used Book Sale!

Can you spare 3 hours (or more!) on Sunday Nov. 3rd to help us set up? Consider it a sort of Book Sorting Carnival! WE NEED YOUR HELP!

 

We also need volunteers to run our Book Sale during the week – as well as shoppers to purchase books!

An Evening With FLOODWOOD

FLOODWOOD returns with their special holiday show on Friday, Dec. 14th – featuring Al Schnier and Vinnie Amico from premier jam band, moe. 

If you were at last years show, you’ll understand what the hype is all about – you also understand last year’s show sold out and this one is expected to do the same. Get your tickets while they last.

Not only does FLOODWOOD include members of the internationally known moe., they are also made up of some of the best locally known bluegrass artists in our area…with Jason Barady, Nick Piccininni, and Zachary Fleitz.

Please remember that the ROADHOUSE series is more of an open floor setup allowing for dancing. Show will begin at 8pm with singer/songwriter Tim Herron. Floodwood will begin shortly after. There will be beer and wine provided through a cash bar from our good friends at Nola’s.

Remember, last year this show sold out…we highly encourage you to purchase tickets in advance as space is limited. Tickets are $25, and $20 for members. If members buy online, you will need a code for the discount. This code will be emailed to you, or call 853-8871.

The Nutcracker

A partnership with Bogardus Performing Arts Center
